Sunday Snippet: Perfection

And who let Sunday come back so quickly? Man, I was not ready for it!

Nonetheless, here you go!

Stepping back, I take the time to examine the canvas in front of me. Splatters of black, red, green, and purple cover the entire surface, with streaks of glistening pink ribbons trailing over the curving landscape. Brown layers tan, framing a shining blue and a bright red. Satisfied, I come forward again, letting my hand trail along the edges of my artwork. As it flinches from my touch, whimpering at the sensation, I smack the already red cheek, watching it turn darker, almost purple now. Now, now I can see the perfection.
